Episode 139: Broken Crayons Still Color
In this episode, I use a quote from a student in our Master Leadership class to offer 7 tips on how to become more resilient as a leader. Everyone of us goes through personal and professional crises. It's the nature of human existence. Those of us who choose to be significant, tackle adversity head on and find ways to build your personal resilience. Dean talks about some of his own challenges during his 30+ year career and how he overcame the feeling of "brokenness." We are not born with resilience, but we can, with a little effort and commitment, create the conditions that grow our resilience. When you find your own personal recipe to do this, you will come out stronger and more flexible than you were before the crisis. That's what creates significant people and leaders.
